Compression elbow that joins two 28mm pipes at a right angle, tightened with a spanner and needing no solder.

A compression elbow turns a pipe run through a right angle. This one takes 28mm pipe on both sides, for the larger pipe sizes in a plumbing installation.
The joint is made by tightening the nuts onto the pipe ends.
