A headpart is the part of a tap that screws into the tap body and opens and closes the water flow. This Star headpart is the underwall type in the 1/2″ size, used on taps and stopcocks whose body sits inside the wall. Replacing a worn headpart is a common way to fix a tap that drips or no longer shuts off, without changing the body in the wall.
